Corporate IT Strategy 2013
IT Departments must help their businesses to innovate in 2013.
In 2012, IT departments played a critical role in helping their businesses survive another year of hard economic conditions. The 'green shoots' of IT were around investigating new technologies and approaching service provision in new ways. This year the shoots are flourishing; innovation has become an IT mantra and is becoming key to both cost optimisation and new business opportunities.
The Corporate IT Forum annually surveys Corporate IT Professionals from all sectors and industries to produce the most comprehensive view of what strategies and challenges lie in the year ahead. The survey provides an overview of the thoughts, opinions and strategies of the largest IT users in Europe.
The Forum's Strategy Survey 2013 received 420 responses from over 165 organisations, representing an annual IT spend of £25.6 billion and employing 3.33 million employees. The survey includes the views of CIOs and their teams with separate sector analyses for Finance; Manufacturing; Oil, Chemical and Pharmaceuticals; Retail; Utilities; and the Public sector.
