Desktop Power Management

QA3106

Question

Do you use any software to manage desktop power?

Reducing power usage can reduce business costs and reduce CO2 emissions without impacting the end user experience. Software tools such as Verdiem, Certero Power Studio and 1e Nightwatchman are being used by organisations to help achieve this on Windows XP while looking ahead, Windows 7 offers estates a more granular and aggressive approach to power management that can be incorporated into their Group Policy Object (GPO).
