Data Warehouse Information: rationalising the legacy

This output report is from an online discussion attended by nine senior managers from a variety of backgrounds and industry sectors all with experience of data warehouses within large
organisations.

Summary

Data warehousing enables organisations to solve their business problems, makes data
available for analysis throughout the entire organisation and increases overall productivity
in the organisation. However, data warehouses are expensive, require extensive planning
and are resource intensive by nature. As a result, effective implementation of a data
warehouse within an organisation is a major challenge for any enterprise worldwide.
