Summary
The Corporate IT Forum's recent Strategy Survey highlighted the growing importance of Business Intelligence (BI) within the Enterprise. Organisations are starting to focus on data projects with issues identified around unstructured data analysis, open data and data crawl. There is also a resurgence of interest in corporate IT for up-to-date information on CRM and ERP solutions.
In February and March 2012 The Corporate IT Forum conducted a Reality Checker survey to understand how organisations are changing their use of Business Intelligence and Management Information, the maturity of solutions in use and how these will be developed in the future. Key findings highlight that whilst 2011 was all about the Cloud, 2012 sees a move towards development for mobile solutions. Contributing organisations represent an annual IT spend of £6.7 billion, employ over 700,000 people and collectively have over 900 years experience with Business Intelligence.
