Summary
Collaboration can be a lot of fun for users, especially with the rise of social media, but for IT organisations there can be significant risks and pitfalls. The workshop delegates discussed their definitions of collaboration and their key challenges in using collaboration technologies, and also provided a forum to share best practice around collaboration.
Many of the organisations represented use SharePoint or Lotus Notes for collaboration but find it challenging to move on from using these tools as simply document management tools. There is also a significant challenge around integrating these tools with new applications and technologies around social media, telepresence and web collaboration.Full details of this item are available when you are Logged In.
