- Supporting Business Change: Branding for Growth (Executive Summary)
This report is based on a presentation delivered by Huntsworth’s IT project team at a recent Forum webinar. It illustrates how the REAL IT award winning team directly contributed to New Business revenue and how the implemented technology enabled staff to collaborate better in a newly restructured business. IT Teams Making a Business Difference.
Summary
Following a decade of growth through successive acquisitions, PR consultancy Huntsworth plc needed to consolidate companies and brands operating out of 74 offices in 31 countries under the single 'Grayling' organisational structure.
The single company initial key objectives were clear - greater integration of IT systems, a single new business portal, company Intranet and group website. The demands on IT were considerable - including the reconfiguration of existing systems in 5 locations, implementation of new linked systems in 5 'hub' offices and 5 office moves (including a data migration and increase in systems capacity).
To achieve this against a background of maintaining BAU and to work outside of core offices hours, the small project team required a good level of pragmatism, the empowerment to take decisions and the ability to shortcut normal project management processes.
