This document is based on information shared during a Corporate IT Forum workshop as well as conclusions drawn from a Forum survey and two corporate case studies. It centres around topics including as frameworks, business engagement, implementation, skills and capabilities, organisational aspects, the role of solution architects, and demonstrating value.
The report was compiled with input from 25 delegates from 17 enterprise organisations.
Summary
This workshop, hosted by The Corporate IT Forum, had two case studies. One related to academic research on the application of Process Oriented Engineering to TOGAF, using both TOGAF’s theoretical framework and a real life TOGAF case study. The other revealed how one organisation had aligned enterprise architecture’s activities to the corporate goals of the organisation. By doing this it was easier to demonstrate the business value contributed by enterprise architecture.
