Cloud Computing is a term that has not been out of the news recently. With its high profile and promised cost savings many IT departments are being asked to assess "should we move to the Cloud?"
Summary
This workshop had four case studies from major international organisations revealing a wide spectrum of experiences with the Cloud. Significant business critical uses are being made of the Cloud.
In addition, there was discussion on an area of major concern to all attending – security in the Cloud. Other topics included exit strategy and the potential for a total denial of service, not from hackers, but from other less obvious sources.
Delegates
This workshop, hosted by The Corporate IT Forum, was attended by 30 delegates representing 21 organisations. These were from a wide cross-section of sectors, including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, transport, retail and government agencies.
