  3. PCI Compliance V2.0. (Top Tips)

How acquirers can support merchants in becoming compliant, with a slight focus on dealing with 3rd Party compliance and will be providing some examples of how you can ensure this.

Summary

The PCI DSS Standard is maturing, with version 2.0 made formally effective on 1st January 2011. Just because the PCI compliance programme is becoming part of business as usual, does not mean that it is without its challenges.

Understanding the main changes in version 2.0, the key dates and what these amendments mean for Merchants is just one of these. As well as getting an insight into the lifecycle and the future for the standard. Surely future editions should be fewer and far between with just minor changes from now on?

Another obstacle for those striving to reach accreditation, is 3rd party compliance as the standard places a measure of responsibility upon the Merchant's head for ensuring any supplier involved in the handling of card data is compliant.

Join representatives from Barclaycard and VISA, as well as your peers, to uncover the truth about 3rd party involvement, discover what V2.0 means to Merchants and what has already worked for compliance managers today.
