IT Risk Management |
|
Summary
Delivering an IT security strategy, in today's world of cloud computing, social networking, mobile devices and uneducated or malicious users, is no mean feat. Combine this with the complexity of IT environments, budget reductions and resource cuts and you have a difficult task in front of you. Determining your organisation's IT risk appetite, assessing and reviewing the current threats, along with delivering solutions based on this requires significant insight and experience about current technologies available, their use, and best practices in this area.
In November 2011 The Corporate IT Forum conducted a Reality Checker survey to understand how mature risk management is, what appetite organisations have and to identify popular tools in use. Key findings show that organisations are preparing to accept more risk as budgets are frozen. Contributing organisations represent an annual IT spend of £4.76billion, employ nearly 750,000 people and have over 310 years experience with IT Risk Management.
