Windows Vista Deployment |
|
Assessing corporate progress towards deploying Microsoft Windows Vista.
Summary
In order to gain a quick assessment of how far large companies had come in their use and deployment of Microsoft's latest software platform, Windows Vista, The Corporate IT Forum conducted a survey of its blue-chip members.
Through a range of activities and events, members reported that they were struggling to find an objective and independent method to assess how far and to what extent other large businesses were deploying Vista.
They wanted to understand what stage other companies were at, what the key challenges and obstacles were and what benefits could be expected.
The survey was distributed to all registered Forum members, with 'applications', 'infrastructure' or 'service delivery / operations management' as their key responsibility and garnered 78 responses from 53 companies - all of which are FTSE 100 or 250 organisations with enterprise-level IT estates.
