Recent public high profile cases of Data being lost coupled with the current economic climate and the increasing number of redundancies, have made Management increasingly nervous about data loss. This report deals with what can be done to reduce the risks both from people themselves as well as the technologies they use
Summary
This report covers the increasing number and variety of threats as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the solutions deployed to meet them. As is often the case, People, are the key to success or failure; whether it is getting buy in from Boards, or just getting employees to think about what they are doing. In addition the increased variety of technologies used by employees all bring additional risks which can be mitigated by judicious use of policies and technology but never entirely eliminated.
