Download the Output Report from this Corporate IT Forum discussion.
IT organisations face significant challenges around project management and resource scheduling, particularly around optimal allocation and management of resources, including internal expertise. Less well understood challenges include the need to balance requested project tasks with normal Business As Usual (BAU) activities, and the ramifications of this balancing act, as well as the challenges IT leaders and project managers face. This report explores some of the successful approaches organisations have taken when dealing with such issues, and how technology can play a supporting role.
Summary
This report has been compiled from experience shared during a Corporate IT Forum discussion attended by 18 delegates representing eleven different organisations with combined experience of 94 years in this area. Represented industries include insurance, construction, logistics, domestic appliance manufacture, fast-moving consumer goods, publishing and financial services.
