This first of two reports looks at the different ways that IT departments use to ensure they are delivering services and projects that support Business Strategy however that is expressed.
Summary
The report opens by looking at a number of formal Strategy Frameworks and the factors that affect It strategy and its relationship with Business Strategy. Building relationships with key stakeholders, using Account management teams and setting up proper Governance with Review Boards to sign off key deliverables are set out based on real world experience of dealing with these issues. Finally practical approaches to implementation of the strategy and measuring and checking continued alignment are reviewed along with a set of case examples.
