Dealing with people often has many uncertainties; this report brings together a variety of approaches and good practice to ensure IT organisations have adequate human resources to meet anticipated needs.
While there may not be a 'right answer' to the proportion of women in IT this event highlights a number of good or innovative practices used by companies to attract and keep more women. However this is set against a background of low and possibly declining numbers of girls following IT courses at school and university who might have naturally sought employment in the industry.
