Deploying Windows 7

Corporate IT Forum workshops are requested by and specifically designed for IT professionals striving for best practice in the corporate environment. Free from supplier involvement, delegates receive real-world information from experienced and unbiased peers.

Has Windows 7 lived up to all of the hype? What challenges have been encountered and mitigated in real-world enterprise deployments? Have businesses been able to fully exploit the new features?

Output

  1. Deploying Windows 7 (Executive Summary)
  2. Deploying Windows 7 (Report)
  3. Deploying Windows 7 (Top Tips)

Summary

Like it's predecessor, Windows 7 Migration and Strategy Planning, this workshop will examine the large-scale roll-out of Microsoft's latest OS and applications suite, focusing on corporate deployment experiences, looking at what actually happened and learning the lessons of early adopters. But it will also take time to evaluate ongoing viability of investing in W7 and Office 2010 in an era of cloud/SaaS and understand why businesses continue to take this decision.

Who should attend

Anyone considering or in the process of implementing Windows 7.

Agenda

  • Business cases and benefits realisation - alternatives, investment decisions
  • Scoping upgrade requirements - legacy hardware and applications impact
  • Critical systems interoperability and dependencies - features and functionality exploitation
  • Security, Tools and management
