Summary
The last ten years, from 9/11 onwards, has provided several startling examples of where the role of IT and Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) has been severely tested. 2011 has also seen a rise in the incidence of high-profile cyber attacks which can clearly also impact on BC. What have IT professionals learned from these situations, and what does BC and DR planning best practice look like?
The key to successful BC and DR planning is stakeholder engagement, and the relationship between IT and the wider business is critical, particularly as responsibility for BC planning sometimes lies outside of IT. How is this relationship best approached and managed? What is the appetite for risk?
Delegates at this Forum workshop will discuss what best practice currently is and will share real-life approaches to BC and DR governance.
Objectives
Join corporate IT peers in considering best practise in Business Continuity planning - learn from the combined experience of Forum member organisations.
