The Real IT Awards celebrate the ingenious approaches and extraordinary achievements of corporate IT in stimulating organisational success.
What makes The Real IT Awards so special is the recognition by peers who understand, sympathise and appreciate the effort, energy and dedication involved in projects that deliver the hundreds of thousands, and often millions, of pounds worth of difference that corporate IT adds to the business.
Judging
Designed and judged by senior IT professionals in leading global, European and UK organisations, a Real IT Award represents the best acknowledgement of success. They are not judged or influenced by consultants, media or suppliers, and reflect the best of corporate IT.
What is Real IT?
‘Real IT’ is a term coined to help distinguish the practical experiences and views of The Corporate IT Forum’s 100,000 practitioners against the theoretical analyses provided by consultants and the ‘hype’ that can surround supplier communications.
The Corporate IT Forum
The Corporate IT Forum was created in 1996 by a group of the largest corporate users of IT. They wanted to share and exchange information about delivering better corporate IT and to learn from each other in a confidential environment. The collective challenges they faced extended beyond being large scale users of IT and included new markets, new competitors and new technologies.
Their motivations are as valid today as they were then, and the service they instigated now involves nearly 200 large, international organisations. Forum members collectively spend over €35 billion annually on IT and the Forum’s mission is to help them spend it wisely and deliver the service their business demands.
The Corporate IT Forum is supported by a Service Team who are directed and monitored by the Forum’s Advisory Group. The Group drives agreed best solutions, strategies and ways of working across any IT or business-related issue. It is made-up of senior IT professionals from leading organisations.
