- What Next for Active Directory? (Executive Summary)
Corporate IT Forum workshops are requested by and specifically designed for IT professionals striving for best practice in the corporate environment. Free from supplier involvement, delegates receive real-world information from experienced and unbiased peers.
Summary:
The buzz is very much around cloud, consumerisation and collaboration for 2012. But with Risk Management high on the list of corporate priorities, identity and access management, authentication and authorisation will remain serious challenges for IT professionals.
Active Directory (AD) is in widespread use amongst Forum members, and since its launch in parallel with Windows 2000, its user management and access controls have developed a firm hold on corporate networks and internal communications solutions.
But with the potential transformation of corporate computing as we know it, will the release of add-ons such as federated services (AD FS 2.0) Domain Services (ADDS) Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS), Certificate Services (ADCS), and Rights Management Services (ADRMS) ensure 'Active Directory' retains its integral role?
Agenda:
As with all Corporate IT Forum workshops, the final agenda will be shaped by delegates to match their specific business needs.
The workshop is aimed at specialists but anyone with an interest in these areas will benefit.
- Opportunities offered by additional AD 'services'
- Real-world benefits
- Challenges & pitfalls
- Deployment: lessons learned
- For those without AD is there still a business case?
