Successful Contract Transitioning: Benefitting from Experiences Shared
Workshop
- When:
- 26 Jan 2012
(Past) - Ref:
- W958
Description:
The Forum's first 'Contract Transitioning' debate (January 2011) concluded that the three biggest barriers to moving seamlessly from one IT service provider to another are effective contract transition management, lack of knowledge of what is possible, and an appreciation of what pitfalls might be on the horizon for the unwary organisation.
But, whilst there is no single 'right' way to move from one IT services contract to another, members have identified the keys to success as:
- Maximising the time available to conduct the transition
- Ensuring that as many core requirements as possible are incorporated into the contract
- Planning from the outset how the transition will be measured post-implementation
There's no substitute for real-world experience. This workshop offers members the opportunity to share techniques and strategies for addressing these challenges, and lessons learned in mitigate the associated risks.
Objectives (what the delegates will get out of attending)
To share advice and experiences of potential pitfalls of transition, and the tools, techniques and strategies that members have been used successfully during the transition process.
Who should attend?
Supplier/Vendor and Procurement Managers and senior business representatives responsible for ensuring contract value.
This workshop is currently in development and the date and venue are subject to change. More information on this workshop will be posted soon.
