Corporate IT professionals from Enterprise organisations have requested an exploration into the future of the Mobile Enterprise.

New technologies, the influx of smart devices, cross-border legislation, employment policies and a business requirement for a flexible approach are demanding that organisations keep on top of all options.

Summary:

Representing the peak of industry knowledge, experience and best practice, Enterprise Everywhere will balance real-world user experience with supplier expertise, and present case studies, master classes, Q&A sessions and technical surgeries.

Designed to inspire ideas, provoke discussion and prompt action, the conference will give you relevant, practical and up-to-date information you can take away and use.

Objectives:

This conference will focus on the impact to the infrastructure of delivering, supporting and managing a Mobile Workforce. Consumerisation is a part of the driving force behind this change - but many other aspects (cost, new technologies, BC / DR, demands for flexible working) are driving organisations to consider new ways of working and how to support this.

Agenda:

09:15     Welcome and Introduction: David Roberts, Executive Director, The Corporate IT Forum

09:20     President's Welcome

09:30     Enterprise Everywhere - The Realities: John Harris, Chairman of The Corporate IT Forum and Chief Architect & VP of Global IT Strategy, GlaxoSmithKline
Now is the time to embrace the mobile age - providing employees and partners with access to key systems at any time, anywhere on any (and many) devices can deliver many benefits. It opens up new opportunities and allows you to support a truly flexible workforce. But what are the realities behind making this possible? Hear GlaxoSmithKline's story about providing and supporting a mobile / flexible workforce and their thought on what the future might hold.

11:20     Security issues with multiple device access - bringing your data back under control: Neil Jarvis, Global Head of IT Security & IT Risk, DHL Supply Chain
In 1981 your data escaped from the maximum security mainframe. Since then it's been running rampant on PCs, laptops, floppy disks, USB devices and now smartphones and tablets. How can you use new technology to coral the data whilst giving the users the freedom to access it from where they need, when they need? Neil Jarvis will discuss currently-available solutions and describe how DHL has applied some of these to its business.
