Corporate IT Forum workshops are requested by and specifically designed for IT professionals striving for best practice in the corporate environment. Free from supplier involvement, delegates receive real-world information from experienced and unbiased peers.

Microsoft SharePoint has become the de facto corporate collaboration standard and has its capabilities debated frequently at Forum workshops and Q&As.  Discussions during and after the previous SharePoint workshop in May 2011 have highlighted that many organisations still have migrating to SharePoint 2010 on their roadmap, whereas some members have implemented it already.

Summary:

It is evident that a follow-on workshop to discuss previous and current experiences of migration, along with the progression of the social elements of SharePoint 2010, would be of great benefit.

Join this workshop to hear from those who have already travelled the implementation path and discuss ways to over come the obstacles faced before, during and after this process.

Speakers:

Case Study Presentation - Project Manager, Travis Perkins
Case Study Presentation - ICT Chief Architect, East Sussex County Council

Objectives:

Delegates will be able to hear real-world experiences of moving to SharePoint 2010 and how it is being utilised, and understand some of the challenges they may face in their own implementation and what they can do to mitigate them.

Discover how teams have matured in this space over the past 12 months since the last SharePoint workshop in May 2011.

Who should attend:

Department Heads, Application or Service Management Managers and any IT Professionals involved in assessing or managing SharePoint.

Agenda:

As with all Corporate IT Forum workshops, the final agenda will be shaped by delegates to match their specific business needs. The workshop is aimed at specialists but anyone with an interest in these areas will benefit.

  • Migrating to 2010 - lessons learned
  • SharePoint Governance
  • Collaboration Tools & Social Elements
  • Metadata Taxonomy
  • Document and Records Management
