Optimising Business Processes

Workshop

Corporate IT Forum workshops are requested by and specifically designed for IT professionals striving for best practice in the corporate environment. Free from supplier involvement, delegates receive real-world information from experienced and unbiased peers.

Summary:

Business Process Management is an ongoing story as organisations develop and mature.  Ensuring the correct people are engaged and involved is key, as well as employing successful methods and techniques to facilitate the process.

Objectives:

To look in detail and gain an updated view of the latest approaches, tools, methods and outcomes of business processes.

Seen as key to the ongoing engagement of stakeholders, and acting as a conduit between the IT department and other functions, the Change Manager can ensure business process transformation is adopted and maintained after a new process has been created.

But in order to create the new, the old - or current - process must be mapped and documented. And with no standardised method of process capture or transformation, the project, though clearly one of business change, inevitably falls heavily on the shoulders of the IT department.

Who should attend:

Business Process Owners, IT Managers & IT Project Managers involved in the management of Business Processes.

Agenda:

As with all Corporate IT Forum workshops, the final agenda will be shaped by delegates to match their specific business needs. Currently, the agenda will look at the following areas:

  • Business and Stakeholder engagement: communicating the value of Business Process Mapping
  • Best practice - effective process mapping experiences
  • Increasing and maintaining business user involvement during process change
  • Tools and techniques for business process transformation support
  • Realising and measuring the benefits of process change

The workshop is aimed at specialists but anyone with an interest in these areas will benefit.
